Taylor Swift explains why playing in Singapore'means the world' to her family.

The "All Too Well" singer said on her first night of performances at Singapore's National Stadium that Taylor Swift's six tour appearances in Singapore this month include a portion of her Eras Tour that is especially significant for the Swift family.

The 34-year-old Swift revealed that her mother, Andrea Swift, was born and raised in Singapore and still travels with her daughter to see her old neighborhood.

Swift said to the crowd while seated at a piano on stage, "My mom actually spent a lot of her childhood with her mom and dad and sister growing up in Singapore." 

"My mom would frequently take me on tours here and drive me past her old house and the school where she used to attend."

Swift claimed that "my entire life," she had heard tales of her mother's stay in Singapore. She expressed her gratitude to the "beautiful, 

generous people" whose responses to her performance were "essentially honoring my family."The singer of "Blank Space" performed in Singapore on Saturday, March 2, 

for her inaugural Eras Tour performance. Before Swift departs for Paris to begin the European phase of her tour, she has five more gigs in Singapore with Sabrina Carpenter as her opener.
