San Diego WTA roundup: No. 1 seed Jessica Pegula defeated by Marta Kostyuk  

Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine rallied in the opening set and won a thrilling tiebreaker to beat top-seeded Jessica Pegula of the U.S.  

in the Cymbiotika San Diego Open semifinals on Saturday night.  

In Sunday's final, sixth seed Kostyuk will face British Katie Boulter after winning 7-6 (4), 6-1. Boulter, placed 49th  

Kostyuk defeated fourth-seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia in a quarterfinal match on Friday  

then got out of a 3-3 tiebreaker. Second set point, she won.  

Boulter won 88% of first-serve points, Navarro 62%. She dominated second serve return points with 67%.
