Raye: Singer-songwriter makes history by winning six Brit Awards.

Raye had a record-breaking night at the Brit Awards, winning six of the seven awards for which she was nominated, surpassing Blur, Adele, and Harry Styles' four victories in a single ceremony.

Collecting her awards barefoot, she stated, "The artist I was three years ago would not believe I'm in control - I'm my own boss."

Dua Lipa expressed gratitude to her followers for "giving me this radical sense of confidence that I can do anything".

She also thanked her father and manager, Dukagjin Lipa, referring to him as "Dadager Dougie" and saying, "I'm so grateful we get to do this together."

Raye's first prize, for song of the year for Escapism, was presented to her by former subpostmistress Jo Hamilton, a victim of the Horizon IT scam.

She was joined on stage by Monica Dolan, who played her in the recent ITV drama Mr Bates vs The Post Office.

Mrs Hamilton, who was wrongfully accused of stealing £36,000 from the Post Office, said on stage at London's O2 arena: "I want to thank everyone in the country for the love and support they have shown the postmasters."

"Please can you keep on supporting us because, despite what the government says, they're not paying the postmasters."

Raye, visibly delighted and humbled by her triumphs, brought her grandma Agatha on stage with her when she collected her sixth record of the year award.

Raye, whose successful hits include Cigarette, Second, and Welcome to the Winter, faced years of rejection from her record label before being released from her contract, which allowed her to keep the music she had created.
