Messi's Three Kids: Mateo, Thiago, and Ciro

Lionel Messi's sons Mateo, Thiago, and Ciro cheered him on as Argentina defeated France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The soccer player, who scored two goals in the dramatic encounter, hugged his two sons after the game while wearing shirts with their father's name and number (10). Antonella Roccuzzo,

their younger brother and mother, joined them and posted wonderful images from the family event.

"I don't even know how to start," Roccuzzo captioned images of herself, Messi, and their three sons. "We are proud of you @leomessi Thanks for teaching us to never give up and fight till the end. You're a world champion, and we know you fought for years to get here!"

Messi and Roccuzzo, childhood friends who reunited in 2005, had their first baby, Thiago, in 2012. Second son Mateo was born in 2015, and third son Ciro in 2018.

Fatherhood impacted his outlook, the athlete told FC Barcelona. He said, "You grow and you learn," in 2017. "You gain life experience on and off the field. Having three children transformed my life, helped me grow, and changed my thoughts."

Despite not being his first World Cup appearance, Messi told reporters that his youngsters are mature enough to "enjoy it more."

"From the very beginning, from kick-off to the final whistle, I'm thinking of my children," he told The Athletic after defeating Australia in the round of 16. Getting older.
