Making the playoffs will be difficult for the Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers are ninth in Western Conference. They haven't looked like the Western Conference Finals squad from last season.

On Monday's "First Take," Kendrick Perkins said the Lakers must fight for playoffs.

"As far as this season alone, the Lakers better be worried about making the players, far as making a run in the playoffs," stated Perkins.

"Truth. Playoffs have begun. Will Spencer Dinwiddie lead them to victory? The hell no.

Finally, I'm seeing that they lack big-position depth. You need big-position depth to win any Western Conference series. No way they're running again this season.

"Rob Pelinka made several summer moves to deepen the Lakers' rotation.

The team added famous players Gabe Vincent and Christian Wood.

Darvin Ham has struggled to form a cohesive unit due to injuries and rotations.
