Kate Winslet's HBO Political Drama Continues Her Stellar Rotten Tomatoes Run

Kate Winslet's hot streak continues with The Regime's Rotten Tomatoes score.  

The HBO drama, from Succession writer and director Will Tracy, follows Chancellor Elena Vernham, an authoritarian regime's neurotic and unstable leader, for a year.  

In addition to Winslet, The Regime stars Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Hugh Grant.  

The Regime's Rotten Tomatoes score is disclosed as critics assess it.   

Rotten Tomatoes gave The Regime an 89% rating with little under 20 reviews.   

Critics laud the show's biting political satire and Winslet's unexpected comedy as Chancellor Elena Vernham.  

Winslet received the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress for her role as a divorced single mother during the Great Depression.

Since her previous HBO miniseries received strong Rotten Tomatoes scores and Emmy Awards, Winslet has been on a roll.   

HBO's 2011 miniseries Mildred Pierce starred Winslet and got great reviews and an 81% Rotten Tomatoes score despite a small audience.
