Kate Middleton is spotted for the first time after her hospitalisation.

Following Kate Middleton's stomach surgery in January, Kensington Palace declared that she is unlikely to return to public responsibilities until after Easter.

"She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private," the Palace said in a statement.

Just last week, authorities reissued this advice in response to widespread internet speculation regarding Kate's health and whereabouts.

Kate was photographed for the first time today in new paparazzi photos shot by Backgrid (and released on TMZ); T&C believes the photos were not authorised.

The Princess was observed riding in the passenger seat of an Audi driven by her mother, Carole Middleton, near Windsor Castle.

She was spotted sporting big sunglasses. Kate has been resting at her house, Adelaide Cottage, on the Windsor Castle grounds, since she was discharged from hospital.

There have been few updates on Kate since her operation, and Kensington Palace has stressed her wish for privacy.

When Prince William returned to public duties in early February, he stated that Kate is cared for by two "amazing and kind" nurses.
