Homemade 4-Ingredient Cheese Crackers  

Kids will adore rolling out the dough and making unique cracker shapes for this easy family kitchen project. Make one batch with cheddar, one with white cheddar, and one with garlic powder and cayenne for spice.  

Ingredient – 

4 Tbsp cold unsalted butter 8 ounces extra-sharp or white cheddar 1/2 tsp salt  

Freshly ground black pepper 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour 1/2 cup all-purpose flour A tablespoon cold water  

¼ garlic powder (optional spice) (Optional) ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, plus more for sprinkling  

Grate cheese and dice butter. Pulse the cheese, butter, salt, and a few grinds black pepper in the food processor for a few seconds to combine.   

Process until crumbly, adding whole-wheat and all-purpose flour one at a time. Mix in cold water until a large dough ball forms. Soft, moldable dough is ideal.  

The spicy crackers need kneading garlic and cayenne pepper into the dough with your hands. Divide the dough into two balls, flatten into disks, and wrap each disk in plastic. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
