Freiburg and Bayern Munich end in a 2-2 draw after late goals from both teams.

Friedburg, Germany, March 1 (Reuters) On Friday, Freiburg's Lucas Hoeler struck an 87th-minute equalizer to draw Bayern Munich 2-2, hurting their Bundesliga title aspirations.

Bayer Leverkusen leads the league with 61 points, seven ahead of champions Bayern, who have 54 after 24 matches. A win over Cologne on Sunday might extend their lead.

Bayern's historic 2,000th Bundesliga game began poorly as Lazio created chances to score.

Early in the first half, Manuel Neuer made many saves to keep Bayern in the game.

"We played completely without structure (in the first half)," remarked Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel. We lacked discipline.

We lost possession and allowed them to counterattack due to our poor positioning

It was evident we intended to play here with more determination, but we only started after losing a goal.

However, one good half cannot win here.
