Disaster as Liverpool's win is sealed in the 99th minute by Darwin Núñez's goal

On Saturday, Premier League leaders Liverpool secured a 1-0 win over relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest at the City Ground thanks to a late goal by Darwin Núñez.

Núñez's goal in the 99th minute moved Liverpool four points ahead of Manchester City, holding 63 points from 27 matches,...

...despite Guardiola's team having a game in hand. The broken Forest finished 17th, four points above the relegation zone.

Jurgen Klopp called it the "most difficult game we played because of the circumstances." Four games in 11 days is difficult with our team.

It was incredible. You could tell we struggled throughout the game today.

Wonderful feeling. I'm thrilled. I can only expect what the boys are doing."

Referee Paul Tierney was besieged by Forest's furious coaches after the game, and first-team coach Steven Reid was sent off.

Evangelos Marinakis, Forest owner, also complained while on the touchline and approached Tierney.
