Ariana Grande's Divorce and New Love: What We Learned From "Eternal Sunshine"

On her latest album, the singer discusses losing exes and finding a new one.

How better to learn about Ariana Grande's love story from her?

Grande released her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, on Friday.

It covers her terrible breakup and the start of a new one.

Rolling Stone called Eternal Sunshine “a divorce album that goes through all the stages of grief” and followed Grande as she “navigates a new beginning with some of the most honest and inventive songs of her career so far.”

A few months after her romance made headlines, her album arrives: She revealed her relationship with Wicked co-star Ethan Slater last summer.

Slater broke up with Lily Jay.

After Slater filed for divorce, Jay accused Grande of not being “a girl’s girl,” saying her family was “just collateral damage” in a tabloid.
