Apple Crumble Overnight Oat

– 1/2 cup rolled oat – 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce – 1/2 cup Greek yogurt – 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based) – 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey – 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg – 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract – Pinch of salt – 1/4 cup chopped apple – 2 tablespoons granola, for topping – 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (such as walnuts or almonds), for topping

In a mixing bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats, unsweetened applesauce, Greek yogurt, milk, maple syrup or honey, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well combined.

Fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Cover the bowl or jar with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours, to allow the oats to soak and soften.

Before serving, give the oats a stir to ensure everything is evenly mixed. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash of milk to reach your desired consistency

To serve, divide the overnight oats into bowls or jars. Top with granola and chopped nuts for a delicious apple crumble-inspired crunch.
