According to insiders, Mbappé has a meeting with PSG chief to clear the air.

ESPN sources reported that Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé met with manager Luis Enrique at the club's training center on Saturday to discuss tensions about Enrique substituting his star player in recent games.

Mbappé was substituted after 65 minutes of PSG's tie with Rennes the week before and after the first half of Friday's 0-0 draw with Monaco.

Luis Enrique announced after Friday's play that he chose Randal Kolo Muani to replace the France skipper.

ESPN sources stated that Mbappé, 25, was upset to be substituted and requested Luis Enrique to explain.

The coach informed him it was nothing personal and not vengeance for his reported departure from PSG.

Sources say Luis Enrique made the call because he felt Mbappé was not fit and wanted to save him for more crucial tests.

Since the Mbappé decision was reported, the former Spain men's national team manager has informed news conferences that he is also considering the squad's future.

ESPN sources say Mbappé thinks the substitutions are punishment for leaving the club at the end of the season.
